Mat Nicholson is a Graphic Designer/Illustrator currently residing in Richmond, VA. His work has been seen in such publications as Southern Living, Garden & Gun, as well as the Washington Post.

Not much is known about Mat before he started his professional career, there are unsubstantiated rumors that he is the last son of a dying planet, sent to Earth to be its sworn protector.

Recently Mat helped run a board game company, producing new age family classics such as ROBiTS, TimeTrotters, and the 21 and up board game companion Loaded Dice, featured in Forbes Magazine.
